“The journey of the bean”

Red Buffalo Cafe is a local’s coffee shop in downtown Silverthorne. Being a regular at the cafe for over five years, I was honored with the opportunity to paint their mural. The idea behind the painting is “the journey of the bean” from the farmer, to the mill, to the roaster, to the brew, and finally to the first sips and community of coffee drinkers. With lots detail, and different scenes colliding, the pops of red contrasting with the grayscale are meant to assist the viewers eye as they follow the process from left to right.
